We have a Walmart purchased radio in my wife's car & I agree they aren't bad for the price. I also agree about the stations. That's why I got one with a USB input on the front(it also can use the SD cards like some cameras use).A 4GB USB or SD card can hold a LOT of music. I loaded a 4GB USB thumb drive with all the songs we liked & plugged it into the front. I don't think we actually have listened to radio in years.A USB thumb drive can hold dozens of full albums & hundreds if not thousands of songs depending on size & file format
Just what I did. Here in East Texas, rock stations are few & blues stations aren't anywhere near, so without the ability to load & listen to music I liked, there wasn't much sense of having a radio otherwise.
One recommendation. If you can possibly find one, find a radio that picks up EAS & NWS frequencies. One with auto seek is best. Most will alarm & turn off music if a severe weather alert is broadcast. Just might save your life out on the road.
