Well the Hughes is done, finished....we are heart broken.
We were out camping this weekend in one of the Provincial Parks and got hit by a tornado....the Old Girl took a piece of tree, about 24" dia and 30' long, from about 40 feet up right accross the roof from the drivers side bay window to the passenger corner windshield, caving it all in.
The one and only thing good here is the wife/dogs were inside when the tree hit and the Old Girl saved her life...a testament to how well things were build 40 years ago.
Even so the Old Girl still had a trick up her sleeve...the Park got evacuated....so we taped her up and limped her home 300 miles...we've owned the Hughes for 2.5 years and put 7159 miles on it....never let us down once.

How can a happy outcome be so sad...
Glad you're safe!
Sad that a GMC gave it up so you could be.
Tell the Registry about your TZE#
Now, consider looking for another TZE!
You can't say your last one didn't serve you well.
And you absolutely must know that we'll miss you if you're gone.

Rich,
So sorry to hear this. I'm glad everyone is safe.
I hope you decide to repair or replace it. Maybe the insurance will be enough to buy another nice coach and keep the Hughes as an excellent parts coach.

Rich,
A Suggestion and only that.
You might call Dick Patterson in Coldwater. He knows the coaches very well and he is really an engine guy, but he might have some good ideas. I don't have his phone at my fingertips, but if you can't find it, I know I can.
Now go hug your wife the dogs.
When things happen, watermen often say - A man and his boat, they take care of each other.
