Gene,
How did the GMC'er check/verify? By asking a CARB bureaucrat? You can get a different verbal answer from the same bureaucrat on a different day. Or by attempting to have a smog station provide an emission test?

I don't understand. Didn't the CARB executive odor say it was legal? Did the person not get the MSD decal as stated in the write up?
I'd be kind of upset if I had bought the MSD system based on this and then it wasn't acceptable to CARB. I'm SOOOOO glad I don't have to deal with the stuff the folks on the left coast do.

My beloved PO had to remove a perfectly working fuel injection system and replace it with a Holley carburetor, because he chose to live in California. I'm going to put a TBI system on it since I live in Arizona, where the bureaucrats burrow a little less deep into my life.
