I'm going to purchase an ADCO Travel Trailer Cover for the coach tomorrow...

Which is better:

22.1' to 24'

24.1' to 26'

26.1' to 28'

Triple layer SFS AquaShedŽ top panel & triple layer two-tone polypropylene sides...

Is this the one I should have for the rain in Seattle?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, I would suggest that you not take it personally. My guess is that you are experiencing a lot of folks who are interested in reading your post but have no first hand experience with putting a cover on their GMC and don't want to comment on a subject about which they have no knowledge. Sorry, I'm in that category so I can't help either.

I bought an Addco cover for mine ( the 26' one), and it is larger than necessary, so I think the 24-26' size would be the best fit for your GMC. I don't remember what the material was, but it did keep the inside dry.

I haven't had to use it this last year as John Lebetski has been gracious enough to let me store it in his large storage building next to his coach. This way they don't get lonely! Smile

Wow, to have friends like John close by. I see a bird dive bombed the side of mine yesterday while I was gone to doctor. Got to get it off. Prayed for rain but none came our way.
Never had a cover so I know nothing. A few years back several ordered covers. Someone will help you when they have time. Patrick is experiencing problems with emails so it may just be us forum users here today.

I got the 24-26' version (model number 26771) for mine, and it fits fine. I do remember wondering if the smaller size might fit as well, but mine's not so loose that it's any kind of problem. The ropes at the end do a good job of snugging it up.

Earlier this year there was at least one thread on this forum that talked about which Adco cover was best. At the time Camping World had them on sale. You might try to search the sight and see if those posts will help you. Actually I believe it was not earlier this year, it was last fall.

How many people with what equipment does it take to get a cover on a GMC? I have thought of covering mine but that is a big job I think.

I've done it by myself but it's not fun. Two people is ideal. I finally gave my cover away--not only because of the hassle, but it was damaging my paint when it was windy outside.

I also found that it's pretty much a two person job, and it's not a light, easy operation. I sometimes wonder if a couple of tarps over the roof held down with bungee cords wouldn't suffice if really needed.

We purchased an ADCO Designer SFS Aqua Shed Class A RV Cover for RV's 25' - 28'and it is too big for my tastes. It can be snugged down but even then it looks like a shar pei.

Bob, Interesting; was it just the cover or did sand get up under it and aid and abet the cover?

Just do what I did. Instead of buying a 26' cover, buy a 5000 sq. ft. shop!

Rob,
Years ago I bought a custom soft cover for the Camaro that I had at the time and with the paper work Was a warning that if the cover rubbed the paint it could in time wear thru the paint.

Steve, I bought a 24/26 for my 26' and discovered that it was WAY too big. Later on I put it on my 29.5 stretch...go figger...it fits quite well.

I then bought the 22/24 for the 26 and I can say the fit is much improved, though the sides are still too long (not a big problem). It fits well front to back.

I've had no problem with the paint in any way, but then we don't live in a desert region...just a semi desert valley.

Bob, Interesting; was it just the cover or did sand get up under it and aid and abet the cover?

The damage was at the very front upper "crease" on the front cap above the windshields. Any kind of breaze as well as trying to slide the cover in place constantly rubs on that feature line. It's always dusty in AZ so that may be part of it but I'm not sure. Speaking of dust, the cover would get infiltrated with dust making it's removal and storage a total pain in the ...

I did a lot of researching before I bought mine and decided that the 22-24 was the one that I thought would fit best.

But... It's still in the box, so my opinion doesn't count for much...

Hi Steve, I bought an ADCO 24- 26' travel trailer cover and it was to large. I now have an ADCO 22-24' travel trailer cover. The cover fits well, although I cut openings for the side rear view mirrors. The cover fits over the ladder and spare tire cover, although it will not cover the bumpers without being stretched to the point of almost tearing. The side zipper allows access to the door opening. I have a roof pod, air conditioner and satellite dome. It does take some time to install and remove, but it can be done by one person. A large garage would be better, but for those of us that don't have that luxury, this cover is adequate.
