My Mercedes sprinter has a diesel fired hydronic coolant heater, made by
Espar, in Canada, they cost a little over $1000 come in gas and diesel,
many btu choices, can heat either coolant or air. Mine is 17000 btu,
modulates, and sounds like a jet engine when running. Very hot...

We had problems with that type of squirrel cage fan. Replace complete blower assembly every season now with the 12 volt. The 24 volt units would actually balloon the fan and rub on the housing starting the heater on fire. Changed to pusher fans on those.
Ran air to air espar on our decider truck fed cabs. Work fantastic, less maintenance and better reliability running kerosene over diesel.
