So, what are you all doing to replace the Onan 6K Muffler?

I think if I needed to replace the muffler on mine, I would bite the bullet and buy one of the catalytic converter/mufflers that Jim K sells.

I don't have any experience with this part, so I have no idea how quiet it might be, but the reduction in fumes seems like it would be a worthwhile improvement.

I would call sirum, Cinnebar and applied and compare options.
Might be worth calling Jim miller??
Anything that is fabbed up just dors not work as well or sound as well. I just looked and the one I fitted on my onan is no longer available…. You can have it! But it never was as nice sounding as other running a genuine onan muffler.

I’m going to look into getting these reproduced by my muffler guy as a ready to bolt on replacement, below crazy Cummins pricing. Seems like something needed.

If you search back in the history of this forum, someone put together an Onan exhaust replacement out of auto parts store parts. That is all I remember other than it was many years ago.

Emery Stora had some info at one time. I thought it was from a tractor supply house.
