Several years ago when the discussion of air bags and availability of "OEM" airbags came up, I ordered two from Cinnabar. This is probably 5+ years ago. They are good looking bags still bagged up and stored in my garage. During a discussion this past weekend (about airbags) with our Club, someone brought up the damage a blown out bag can do and that some of the recent offerings were not up to par. My bags do not have any identifier on them other than the number "S-20250". On Monday I am going to call Cinnabar and find out if these are, in fact, Firestones. I think I already know the answer as I have a spare (old) bag under the couch that clearly identifies as a "Firestone". Anyone have a bag similar to my new spares? (S-20250)???

Any enlightenment would be appreciated. I guess I am trying to find out where these came from.

They are not Firestone.
Made overseas and is lacking one layer of fabric.
We experienced blow out during first month of use.
That is when we went to Firestone bags adapted from a standard bag and
called it Mono Bag.

Miguel Mendez of MGM GMC saw the blown new bag at our shop and immediately
noted the short coming of that imported bag.

At about 5 years you are probably just past the point they sold off the last of the Firestones. Yes word on street was the first run of offshore bags were inferior. My guess is Cinnabar has this corrected by now. Let us know what you find out.

There were too many to deal with, so that was the last we dealt with.

I am going by memory but we were all aware of the allotment Cinnabar got. I ordered my bags in that timeframe. If they sold me bad bags, I guess I am out about $800 as I recall they were about $400 each. But...like I said....going to contact them. I was hoping someone would recognize that number.

Jim I appreciate the comment and I guess you saying that these S-20250 bags with no brand name on them are, in fact, "Firestones"?

Sorry, but I just want to make sure.
