If you are an email list subscriber, posting pictures to the forum does not apply to you
Here is how to imbed the picture from the photo site
[url=http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/data/6131/CockpitCot3.jpg][img]http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/data/6131/CockpitCot3.jpg[/img][/url]
Put the URL of the PICTURE twice within the "url" and "img" tags exactly as shown.
Forum users see only a picture without a url, and mail list subscribers see only a url.
You need the URL of the PICTURE, NOT the URL of the PAGE where the picture is normally displayed.
The URL of the PAGE of the example below is
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/interior-aspirations/p46281-batman-s-front-bedroom.html
The URL of the PICTURE of the example below is
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/data/6131/CockpitCot3.jpg
How you get the URL of the picture depends on what web browser you are using. In Internet Explorer, right mouse click on the picture and you get a menu. On the GMC photo site, if you try to select "Copy Shortcut", when you paste it you get "javascript:;" That's no good. So you have to click on "Properties" and then highlight the URL then hold down the "Ctrl" and "c" keys at the same time. "Ctrl" and "v" pastes the selected/copied text.
When done right it looks like this on the forum:

I use photobucket.com
Costs nothing and doesn't eat up our bandwidth. Once it gets imported into photobucket, I just copy the "direct" and bracket it within tags. If you copy one of my posts you might see this. There are other ways but that's JWID. Photobucket keeps adding more promotional junk so it takes a bit more maneuvering to get around the popups. They still have my images from many years ago and they say I've only used 9% of my free storage. Works for me.
Add edit: If you see a ? it's because it looks like an html thing. I meant to type what are known as image tags.

Hi Rod
Unfortunately, that's not a URL, it's a link to where the picture is on your own computer. You might be able to see it, but we can't.
I use a site called https://postimages.org/ I upload my photos there and then when you want to share them it gives you several choices, I pick "Hotlink for forums" and paste that URL here, it includes the proper brackets and coding to make it visible on the forum.
