This sideways scrolling is a distraction. Is there a way to change it so it defaults to what everyone's browser is set for? I know VBulletin and some other forum packages have that capability.

I also had the problem when it first came on line with the updated version. Then it magically corrected itself. I'm thinking it was some cached from the old version and when the cached files timed out or were replaced the problem went away.
What browser are you using on what kind of device?
Have you tried clearing the browser cache?
The problem that I'm still having is marking posting as read. (Turning them from red to blue.) It does it but when I come back they are red (unread) again. It does not happen on all postings but it is driving me nuts right now. Some will stay blue and other revert back to red again. I have read some postings 3 or 4 times and they still will not keep their "read / blue". status. I tried marking all posting as read at the bottom of the page but the problem returned on new postings again after that. I have tried 3 different browsers on one laptop and one tablet.
So I'm still gathering failure data and hoping this one also disappears on it's own.

Ken
I find that I must refresh the page for posts to be marked "read".

I was just trying that. It is strange. I just looked at three posts in a row on a thread on about the Onan. The first 2 did not change status but the 3 one did.
The tracking of read an unread is done at the web site and not on our machines. I normally can read the listing and postings on one machine and when I sign in later on a different machine the forum knows exactly what I already read.
I'll try refreshing the page to see if that helps.
Thanks

Armand Minnie,

Also make sure to do a full refresh of the page. works for
IE, Firefox and Chrome afaik.

The thread you're viewing now is not. That is, it is the size of my browser window, although if I shrink my window it requires scrolling.
On other forums, the display reformats WITH the window size so sideways scrolling is never required. I suspect it is a setting.
It is wide on mine also. I had not previously looked at that thread so I did not notice it before.

Kerry,
That thread is BIZZARE! I clicked on every one above it and a few below it and it is the ONLY one that comes up wide!
See if you run into the same thing.
I used Google Chrome to view the Forum.
