G'day,

Is it my imagination that there is a NEW banner at the top of the Forum page which has a little cherub in the upper left corner holding a sign that says WELCOME and states:

GMCnet

For enthusiast of the Classic GMC Motorhome built from 1973 to 1978.

Yes, it is new but the page is defined too wide. It works for now. Eugene can tweak it later when he gets time.

That is the out of the box theme for the new version of the FUDforum software. It displays good for me on Win8 using both Chrome and IE 11 with a large monitor.

On my tablet, it displays the menu in a vertical list instead of horizontal, so requires additional scrolling.

The top two lines and the flying whatever that is are offset to the left about 12 spaces. The rest of the display is fine but 12 spaces to the right. I'll look at it in minute with IE if I still have a copy around. I'm using Firefox.

Everything from the line starting with the word "show" is working OK. It is the Banner and the rest of the stuff down to the word "show" that is screwed up.

Also the word "edit" To click on to modify a previous message that I posted is missing. This happened both with IE and Firefox.

That vertical list is what it was doing under Firefox. Now it started working correctly under FF. I now see the top banner correctly and the listing is horizontal using FF.

Did you change something?

Interesting, on my android tablet I have two browsers. The native android browser shows vertical. The google chrome one shows horizontal.

Karma is a way to rate a users posting. I'm guessing a "like" or "don't like" thing.

Zero Karma is better than negative Karma!

I don't need that in a 40ish YO vehicle...

In IE 11 in 64-bit Windows 8.1, I see this in the top of the page:
    • Private Messaging
    • Members
    • Search
    • Help
    • Control Panel
    • Login
    • Home

I think it used to look like this

• Private Messaging • Members • Search • Help • Control Panel • Login • Home

I liked the second way better.

I couldn't figure out what you guys were talking about because mine was just like the old format this morning. However, just now, it's changed and I see the GMC logo way over to the left and have to scroll sideways to get to the right side info and buttons. I MUCH prefer the old format. Scrolling sideways to read and/or reply is a pain. I'm still on 7.0 using Firefox. But I do have a new wide format monitor.

The stuff at the top of the page takes up so much space, you have to scroll down to see any post data.

Here is what I would like to see done:

Edit: Never mind. Problem was local to my own browser.

That is what I was initially getting with FireFox and then it magically corrected itself. I'm running FF version 29.0.1. It might be something stored in your local FF web cache from the previous version of the forum. If so, that should eventually time out and clear.

That is how mine initially was but it all cleared up.

I agree we still need the "edit" button restored.
