Is it just me or what. It seems that the Forum gang is a much more respecatble and focussed on technical issues compared to the GMCNET petty crap?

With the mailing list down there are a whole lot fewer participants so there are fewer opportunities to go off the rails.

Why doesn't someone stir up something?

On second thought, the peace is rather pleasing.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe without the Luddites things just run smoother.

I miss the email guys as some of them are quite the experts...Ken Henderson comes to mind. There is a lot less traffic on the forum without them. That said, I do believe that the vast majority of thread drift and thread hijacking comes from SOME of the email guys not bothering to take the time to notice which thread they are 'replying to' so they can respond to the proper thread or not bothering to read the whole thread before the fire off a reply to something taken out of context... Isn't it nice not to have all of the busted threads and not having to quote to keep them on tract.

There are a lot of them monitoring. I check to see how many anonymous (not logged in users) and also logged in email users that do not post.

I'm tied up tying to load a bunch of apps on a new tablet.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but just when we had some ugly interchanges, my email was hacked, the GMCNET went down, and then the Forum. Is it possible that a disgruntled member may have caused havoc?

What's the quote from Goldfinger, "Once is happenstance, twice is
coincidence, but three times is enemy action"?

Seriously, I think it was just a confluence of unrelated events.

Of course, even paranoids have enemies...

I'm always disgruntled but it wasn't my fault.

Can we blame it on Dan this time?

Same problem here but I figured I would wait to say anything, gather more information, and just be happy that Eugene got it going for us again with some upgrades.
