I have an old pod that I am considering installing. Looking things over, it doesn't really appear that any of the ribs will line up with the screw holes. The question is, do I just use sheet metal screws with a bunch of goop and call it a day? I have some self tapping #10 x 1/2. Should I use bigger maybe? Any thoughts are welcome....Thanks

Probably the best way to anchor the pod to your roof is with riv-nuts or well nuts. My pod is fastened to the roof with eight riv-nuts and machine screws, I think either #10 or #12. My roof leaked badly until I took the pod loose and put vinyl hose washers around the riv-nuts to seal the holes from water intrusion. Inside the pod are large fender washers to distribute the stress over a larger area of the mounting points on the pod floor.
