January 4th was the 3rd anniversary for the Guide. I want to thank Byron Songer for his editorial expertise and the fantastic graphics he provides for the Guide. Without his help my Guide would never have been published.

It has been very rewarding for me to meet many of you at rallies and be told what a great help the Guide has provided you. Please email me with any suggestions you may have with new info you would like to see added to the Guide or ways to improve the Guide. Email gary.bovee@gmcidiotsguide.com.

For you Apple users, please visit https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/internet-idiots-guide-for/id623353780?mt=11 and down load your Free iBook copy of the Guide. Again I want to thank Byron Songer for making the Guide available as an iBook.

December marked the 2nd anniversary of my www.gmcidiotsguide.com webpage. The first year it had less than 700 hits. This past year it has exceeded 11,000 hits. I am happy to see that many more of you became aware the Guide is also available on a website. You can easily view each chapter and search for links to GMC MotorHome information. You can also download a FREE copy and have it on your laptop, desktop or iPad too.

I hope this year everyone gets to use their GMCs and make many fond memories!

Happy New Year to all and happy travels in your GMC.

That's great, Gary, but I'm not up to speed on how to get it onto my iPad. I have downloaded it to this computer, but don't know what to do next. I'm not a downloader of iTunes.

This is clearly the direction of the future. Buying DVDs , thumb drives, or other media that is not readable on smart devices is not practical.

The 8,000 gmc mh. Out there need free, accessible , PDF like readable info.

Way to go Gary and Byron Can hardly wait for the next step.

Could not find it on my iPad. Just a bunch of nonsense "music" and couldn't find books.

I'm NOT a "power" iPad user.

In the vein in which even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile, I clicked on "Apple APPs" and got the iBooks app. The subject app is now "downloading" but that seems to be the extent of action so far. Does the download to the iPad take a long time?

Mac,

Assuming you made the purchase within the iBook store and you have a good
connection, it shouldn't take long. Glad to know someone went after it. I
was about to abandon doing the iBook version. It's done differently than
the PDF version.

Once again, with the aid of some more blind luck, I did get the Guide installed on my iPad.
I'm simply not all that computer savvy and am very new to iPad functions.

Great app, Byron.

You need to download the iBooks app (free) from the App Store. Then you can open iBooks, tap "store" in the upper left hand corner, then find the above guide via search.

Thanks for all your work on the guide. It was a huge help when we were considering buying ours and a great help again when she broke down on her maiden voyage!

Do I want to "sync bookmarks, notes and collections between devices?

I don't know. Do you? If you have an iPad or other iOS device, syncing comes
standard. Or, did you misspell and want to know if you could sink between
devices. That's possible, too, if you're in the right location.

OK - I go to apps, iBooks and my only choice is to open. Looks like a a library to me.

I downloaded the computer version but couldn't figure out a way to save it.

I have an iPhone 4. I know how to make phone calls and that's about it.

Seriously I think I loaded the app correctly but the "store" button does nothing. Just a bunch of books I can download, but no search engine that I can find.

As the late, great George Goble once said, "I feel like a pair of brown loafers in a tuxedo world." (or something like that)
