G'day,

I thought I'd pass these on to you guys as they are a bargain from Amazon at $12.96:

http://tinyurl.com/knf4elj

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CSDSBS/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AHSEAWK2CKAVE

As you can see they are sold by Camping Connection 866-576-8171. They only offer normal shipping and I wanted them shipped quicker
so I called them. They noted they would ship them any way I wanted so I ordered 12 bulbs (I needed 11 for Double Trouble plus 1
spare). They noted that since I was ordering 12 directly from them they didn't have to pay Amazon their cut and reduced the price by
$1.00!

Here's a link to the bulbs at Camping World:

http://tinyurl.com/k5qfxuk

http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/led-replacement-directional-bulb/57272

They are on sale at the moment for $16.18. The ad notes that they are normally priced at $36.29, HOWEVER, that's BS as I know they
were selling them for $24.95 when I bought the ones for Double Trouble from Camping Connection. They're out of stock anyway!

These bulbs fit into the OEM sockets and create a nice looking square bright patch in the center of the light. The light they put
out is white and VERY bright. I put them in Double Troubles bathroom / shower and it brighter and much more pleasant than the
incandescent bulbs.

You have to modify the OEM fixtures to make them fit, however. The sockets need to be pulled down a bit so the flat led mounting
printed circuit board can be turned and not hit the fixture. When you do that you MUST put a screw through the hole in the rivet
that attaches the bulb socket to the fixture or the socket will come off in your hand when you try to pull it down; you can figger
out how I know that!

Regards,
Rob M.

These will fit without modifying the fixture, but they are not as bright because they only have 36 LEDs...6 of them in the bath is plenty bright though! The ones I got were a bluish light, not warm white:

And here are some with 120 LEDs on them, but I have not tried these:

Terry,

The bulbs I posted the link to only have 25 LEDs, however they are better because all the LEDs face the same direction, away from
the fixture towards the bezel. This is better because LED's emit directional light, you can see from the photos on eBay light is
directed away from circumference of the bulb and the end of the bulb.

I had purchased bulbs similar to the ones in the eBay auction; some of them had more than 36 LEDs. When compared these types of
bulbs with the ones I provided a link to they were not as good. They are a hell of a lot cheaper though.

If you look at the photo on the eBay auction you will see the problem, LED light is directional and those bulbs send out light in
all directions.

That may be good in the bathroom on a GMC where the fixtures are on the side but it sucks for the fixtures that are mounted on the
bottom of the cupboards.

Been there done that!

Regards,
Rob M.

I must have gotten the wrong result when I clicked on the link you had there Rob, it showed me a 60 LED bulb that was arranged in a spherical assembly. Will have to check that out again...

Well, I don't know WTH happened before, but this time I got the bulb you indicated. Those would definitely be better for the overhead, wish I had 2 of those but they are a little pricey. I left one incandescent in each fixture and put the LED bulb in the first stage socket so I can get real light power on the second stage when I need it. But now I don't understand why you have to alter the socket position if it is a flat circuit board mounted on the bayonet base. Oh... I guess you need the space to turn it when installing the bulb, right?

Terry,

At twelve bucks and change they are pricey, however, once you see the how white and bright the light they put out you'll be sold.
You can put two of them in the fixture and don't have to leave one incandescent bulb in it for extra light. The other thing I did
along with buying the new bulbs I bought a pack of new white lenses at a surplus store in Elkhart.

Yes, you're correct you have to bend the socket bracket so you can twist the bulb into the socket.

Take a look at this one, should be pretty easy to install and cheap if you have the time to wait for it.
